Octavian Chivu hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Tudor Bodeas short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Zé Augusto Santos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aurel Huștiu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Nicu Lucescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corneliu Vulpăşin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horaţiu Amânaloae in the 14th minute of play forced Unicorns ™'s goalkeeper Corneliu Vulpăşin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Fernando Hondo in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Nicu Lucescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Corneliu Vulpăşin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Fernando Hondo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Vulpăşin having to interfere. Zé Augusto Santos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petrică Ţirpescu in the 32nd minute. With 34 minutes on the clock, Octavian Chivu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 34th match minute, Unicorns ™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavian Chivu to maneuver through the defense. If Fernando Hondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nicu Lucescu was the one to do the kick off. Nicu Lucescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Vulpăşin having to interfere. If Hilmi Acarer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Petrică Ţirpescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ made a substitution. Mattias Tingelholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Corneliu Vulpăşin having to interfere. Fernando Hondo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corneliu Vulpăşin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Hondo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Hondo in the 82nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Corneliu Vulpăşin threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicu Lucescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 90 minutes of play, Fc Camerunul ★DAC★'s Mattias Tingelholm made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Corneliu Vulpăşin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mattias Tingelholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernát Pócsi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Corneliu Vulpăşin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fc Camerunul ★DAC★ played a much better game than Unicorns ™ and deserved their victory. The Unicorns ™ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
