In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Herbert Hök sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aron Hârțan made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Iurie Avacariței sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC STEAUA BRAILA's Mihail Zbârlea got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Herbert Hök had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aron Hârțan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Hök, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Korneliusz Kocieniewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Lovinescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of FC Oltul Slatina booed when FC STEAUA BRAILA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Riccardi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC STEAUA BRAILA getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Bruno Riccardi hit a great ball. In the 37th minute Darwin Núñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lovinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darwin Núñez in the 39th minute of play forced FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Lovinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Korneliusz Kocieniewski in the 43rd minute of the match. FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Korneliusz Kocieniewski in the 46th minute of play. Bogdan Modano's late challenge caught a FC Oltul Slatina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bogdan Modano helped the player get up and apologised. Bogdan Modano hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Iurie Avacariței who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Aron Hârțan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iurie Avacariței stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, FC STEAUA BRAILA's goal looked a bit too open when Iurie Avacariței came free, but Aron Hârțan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Riccardi kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. August Uibo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lovinescu having to interfere. In the 61st minute Darwin Núñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lovinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaudencio Ubarna in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aron Hârțan saved FC STEAUA BRAILA from getting behind. When FC Oltul Slatina's Iurie Avacariței in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC STEAUA BRAILA's goalie prevented a goal. If Gelu Coman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darwin Núñez in the 73rd minute of play forced FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Herbert Hök received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Aron Hârțan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goal looked a bit too open when Korneliusz Kocieniewski came free, but Manuel Lovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Oltul Slatina's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vali Buzescu was slow to take the kick. During this time FC STEAUA BRAILA's players had a chance to rest. In the 84th minute of the match, Maurício Corrêa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manuel Lovinescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Maurício Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd match minute, FC Oltul Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilie Leahu to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu got control of the ball when Vali Buzescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Corrêa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
