After a defensive mix-up in FC Oltul Slatina's zone, Ronan McCunn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Lovinescu came out of the goal and Ronan McCunn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 6 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's Gaudencio Ubarna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vintilă Murgu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicholas Ramachandran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Manuel Lovinescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Ronan McCunn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Lovinescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronan McCunn in the 23rd minute of play. The Huns were awarded a corner in the 30th minute after FC Oltul Slatina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nicholas Ramachandran took the corner. The corner led The Huns's Miroslaw Pazura to fire away a dangerous shot which Manuel Lovinescu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Vintilă Murgu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iurie Avacariței in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 played minutes The Huns got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Ramachandran. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Ronan McCunn took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Manuel Lovinescu to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronan McCunn got free with Manuel Lovinescu in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaudencio Ubarna kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iurie Avacariței made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iurie Avacariței got free with Vintilă Murgu in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vintilă Murgu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Ubarna in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match FC Oltul Slatina got a corner. The Huns's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Herbert Hök ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Șerban Tilincă almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but The Huns's Vintilă Murgu did a great save. In the 61st minute, Ronan McCunn ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Lovinescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 64 minutes of play, The Huns's Ronan McCunn made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Lovinescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Ronan McCunn managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Huns's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronan McCunn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Lovinescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 played minutes FC Oltul Slatina got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Lema. After 76 minutes, Iurie Avacariței mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Oltul Slatina and the The Huns players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, FC Oltul Slatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iurie Avacariței to maneuver through the defense. FC Oltul Slatina made a substitution. Aurel Isaia replaced Gaudencio Ubarna. Nicholas Ramachandran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lovinescu having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Iurie Avacariței ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vintilă Murgu was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Ronan McCunn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Lovinescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Vintilă Murgu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Isaia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goal looked a bit too open when Ronan McCunn came free, but Manuel Lovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iurie Avacariței could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Vintilă Murgu made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Oltul Slatina players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for The Huns.
