Manuel Lovinescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darwin Núñez in the 4th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Corrêa in the 6th minute of play forced FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by August Uibo during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, August Uibo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute, Ilie Leahu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and FC STEAUA BRAILA's Aron Hârțan didn't even have to move. 12 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Korneliusz Kocieniewski. Manuel Lovinescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo da Fonseca came free, but Manuel Lovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC STEAUA BRAILA's Reynaldo da Fonseca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Manuel Lovinescu. That made the score 1-0 after 21 minutes of play. Manuel Lovinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darwin Núñez in the 29th minute of play. Aron Hârțan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iurie Avacariței in the 30th minute of play. Aron Hârțan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Ubarna in the 31st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Iurie Avacariței's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aron Hârțan was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaudencio Ubarna in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aron Hârțan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Manuel Lovinescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Lovinescu was out of position in the 41 minute of play, and Darwin Núñez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Darwin Núñez really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 44th minute Maurício Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Lovinescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Reynaldo da Fonseca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manuel Lovinescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iurie Avacariței to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaudencio Ubarna got free with Aron Hârțan in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 52nd minute of the match FC Oltul Slatina got a corner. FC STEAUA BRAILA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ilie Leahu ran over to the corner to take the kick. 56 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo da Fonseca came free, but Manuel Lovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurício Corrêa in the 59th minute of play forced FC Oltul Slatina's goalkeeper Manuel Lovinescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, FC Oltul Slatina's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Corrêa came free, but Manuel Lovinescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo da Fonseca in the 61st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Gelu Coman managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Oltul Slatina's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Coman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aron Hârțan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manuel Lovinescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Corrêa, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Maurício Corrêa notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu. Manuel Lovinescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. FC STEAUA BRAILA's Jan-Simon Blanchaert got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The long shot by Cristian Lema in the 74th minute really tested Aron Hârțan's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. FC Oltul Slatina's Manuel Lovinescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darwin Núñez in the 77th minute of play. Manuel Lovinescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darwin Núñez in the 79th minute of play. With a little luck, FC STEAUA BRAILA's Aron Hârțan got control of the ball when Iurie Avacariței tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aron Hârțan made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Iurie Avacariței sent off a good shot on target. 88 minutes into the game, Vali Buzescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Manuel Lovinescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Manuel Lovinescu came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by FC STEAUA BRAILA's Maurício Corrêa. But to his dismay, Maurício Corrêa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Oltul Slatina players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC STEAUA BRAILA.
