An unexpectedly hard shot by Esa Hagelberg in the 15th minute of play forced UFC Veseud's goalkeeper Dinu Cănănău to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Radomir Czerwinski scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dinu Cănănău, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dacian Gugulanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marian Kapchin in the 20th minute of the match. Dinu Cănănău made an important save on a dangerous shot by Radomir Czerwinski in the 22nd minute. Jörgen Skoog made a great header on UFC Veseud's corner, it was just that FC Vlahuță's Dacian Gugulanu managed to reach the ball for a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 54th match minute, UFC Veseud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Teodoroiu to maneuver through the defense. Dinu Cănănău made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esa Hagelberg in the 59th minute of play. When Olimpiu Vulcănescu fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Vlahuță's protests and gave Olimpiu Vulcănescu a yellow card for diving instead. Olimpiu Vulcănescu hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Vlahuță's goalkeeper Dacian Gugulanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. UFC Veseud's Jörgen Skoog was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dacian Gugulanu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. FC Vlahuță's Dacian Gugulanu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Kapchin in the 68th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match, Dan Muscaș tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dacian Gugulanu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 71stth minute of the game Dan Muscaș who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Vlahuță's Dacian Gugulanu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dacian Gugulanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Muscaș in the 74th minute of play. UFC Veseud's Dinu Cănănău played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esa Hagelberg in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Vlahuță's goalkeeper Dacian Gugulanu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Vlahuță's Dacian Gugulanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save FC Vlahuță from getting a goal against them. UFC Veseud's Dan Muscaș got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Marian Kapchin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UFC Veseud's Sabin Ghionescu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Constantin Tarcu in the 94 minute of the game.
