João Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Wu Yong Chao came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Enzo Sports TEAM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wu Yong Chao couldn't finish the play. Anton Aaxiniei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filip Băncilă, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Valentin Izvoranu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the game, one of UFC STEAUA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Enzo Sports TEAM were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after UFC STEAUA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eugen Tătăruşanu took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of UFC STEAUA's goalie and right to Emanuel Boieraș. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. UFC STEAUA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. With an all-out effort, UFC STEAUA's Anton Aaxiniei threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cezar Alexandru, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valentin Izvoranu in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Massa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 40th minute Eugen Tătăruşanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Sports TEAM's Anton Aaxiniei proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Enzo Sports TEAM from getting a goal against them. The supporters of UFC STEAUA booed when Enzo Sports TEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Dobrin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anton Aaxiniei was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Nelson Mendoza. 46 minutes into the match, Enzo Sports TEAM's goalkeeper Anton Aaxiniei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Jobo. After the first half Enzo Sports TEAM were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cezar Alexandru made the kick off in the second half. João Massa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Tătăruşanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Dobrin kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Nelson Mendoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wu Yong Chao in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Massa saved UFC STEAUA from getting behind. In the 59th minute, Wu Yong Chao fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. A collision led to UFC STEAUA getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Filip Băncilă hit a great ball. In the 69th match minute, Enzo Sports TEAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Tătăruşanu to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Enzo Sports TEAM booed when UFC STEAUA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costică Mangra didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Filip Băncilă in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Enzo Sports TEAM's Eugen Moisil.
