Timo Courtois stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobald Karanewski's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Stefan Dobay came free with the goalkeeper in the 15th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Timo Courtois could save by the left post. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobald Karanewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 27 minutes into the match, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Irinel Tatomir sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Călin Ghioncu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 53rd minute, Teobald Karanewski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Timo Courtois was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Teobald Karanewski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timo Courtois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Carpathians made a substitution. Ceferino Erroman replaced Alin Nichitelea. Carpathians's Gheorghe Ciurea was substituted for Teobald Karanewski. A well-hit corner resulted in Gheorghe Ciurea heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Timo Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mădălin Lipan in the 69th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Mădălin Lipan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carpathians fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Călin Ghioncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irinel Tatomir in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Özalp Erdönmez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th minute Connor Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timo Courtois saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Călin Ghioncu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Ghimiș in the 75th minute of play. Timo Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Ciurea in the 77th minute of the match. Timo Courtois showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cazimir Feteanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Cazimir Feteanu sped through ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Timo Courtois. 85 minutes into the match, Lucrețiu Ghimiș had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Călin Ghioncu. Carpathians's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucrețiu Ghimiș was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Irinel Tatomir struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Călin Ghioncu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007. Călin Ghioncu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Ghimiș in the 92nd minute of the match. Gheorghe Ciurea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Timo Courtois read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Carpathians were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Connor Hughes took the corner. A very nice done corner allowed Gheorghe Ciurea to score against Timo Courtois in ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's goal. 4-2 after 97 minutes. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carpathians fans cheered their team off the field, for while ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
