After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Marius Bunoaică managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Buzău's supporters rose to their feet, but Marius Bunoaică was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vecdi Bedel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Birkan Cam could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Gheorghe Baldovin made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Virgil Pumnu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gheorghe Baldovin. That made the score 1-1 in the 27 minute of play. In the 31st minute Marius Bunoaică shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vecdi Bedel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
