After 15 played minutes Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Travassos. 16 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's Nae Griguță broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ovidiu Dincă came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Steaua Pildesti's Filip Paulescu. But to his dismay, Filip Paulescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ovidiu Dincă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Paulescu in the 21st minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Marian Văduvescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sorin Floreanu was slow to take the kick. During this time Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s players had a chance to rest. Sorin Floreanu made a great header on Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s corner, it was just that FC Steaua Pildesti's Marian Văduvescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Marian Văduvescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cui Zhen Yong in the 35th minute. Nicolae Barbu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cui Zhen Yong to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Cui Zhen Yong came free, but Marian Văduvescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grigore Moșanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Lucian Stere left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Steaua Pildesti fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Marian Văduvescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Moșanu in the 80th minute of play. Marian Văduvescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cui Zhen Yong's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute, Filip Paulescu made a precise shot to the right of Ovidiu Dincă. Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM-'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After 89 played minutes Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Bussi. The Fc Gimmel Baia Mare-MM- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Steaua Pildesti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
