Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Rijkaard in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ovidiu Caranfil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelian Mănescu in the 85th minute of play forced New York Red Bulls's goalkeeper Eduardo Pereyra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
