The supporters of New York Red Bulls booed when FC Alinborger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Ignat didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cristinel Alamaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nazım Taci in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tadeu Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tadeu Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Schiau in the 29th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, FC Alinborger's Eduardo Pereyra threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sebastian Bîlbă, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 39th minute, Nazım Taci made a precise shot to the right of Tadeu Moraes. FC Alinborger's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 43rd minute, Doru Teodoroiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
