AFC PunisherS™'s Costin Ignătoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernest Oprescu in the 2nd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, AFC PunisherS™'s goal looked a bit too open when Victor Lucila came free, but Costin Ignătoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Victor Lucila dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Costin Ignătoiu, 1-0. AFC PunisherS™'s Costin Ignătoiu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save AFC PunisherS™ from getting a goal against them. When Eduard Isvoreanu fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC PunisherS™'s protests and gave Eduard Isvoreanu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 15th match minute, AFC PunisherS™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Isvoreanu to maneuver through the defense. Victor Lucilas short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Costin Ignătoiu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ernest Oprescu was slow to take the kick. During this time MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Mihăiţă Moisil got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Costin Ignătoiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 38th minute, Victor Lucila made a precise shot to the right of Costin Ignătoiu. AFC PunisherS™'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Liviu Frumușanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Ignătoiu having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Lucila to make the kick off.
