Olimpiu Târlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandru Tudorică in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandru Tudorică got free with Olimpiu Târlea in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olimpiu Târlea was a little too slow when Jyrki Saarelainen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-1. Liviu Halipa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dorin Arșanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jyrki Saarelainen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Olimpiu Târlea made a huge save. Horaţiu Arsenescu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Alexandru Tudorică got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A4p FC Gad's Olimpiu Târlea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jyrki Saarelainen in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Petru Tărău stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Olimpiu Târlea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jyrki Saarelainen's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. After 58 played minutes Rovine Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Vârjean. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basarab Teleagă in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olimpiu Târlea saved A4p FC Gad from getting behind. Olimpiu Târlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jyrki Saarelainen in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Jyrki Saarelainen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but A4p FC Gad's Olimpiu Târlea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olimpiu Târlea didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexandru Tudorică went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Olimpiu Târlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Turcescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute of the match Rovine Craiova got a corner. A4p FC Gad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alexandru Tudorică ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in A4p FC Gad's zone, Marcel Turcescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olimpiu Târlea came out of the goal and Marcel Turcescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 74th minute, Andrei Encescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rovine Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Alexandru Tudorică put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Olimpiu Târlea. Olimpiu Târlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Teleagă in the 82nd minute of play. The A4p FC Gad fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-2. 96 minutes into the match, Basarab Teleagă notched a goal, 7-2, to the right of A4p FC Gad's Olimpiu Târlea. Olimpiu Târlea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rovine Craiova fully deserved thier win.
