He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Avantul Hirlau reached it. Dino Petricca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Maxim Nae skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 16th match minute, FC ANC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Petricca to maneuver through the defense. Nistor Gurlui fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Tudor having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Mugurel Burdulea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Avantul Hirlau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mugurel Burdulea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Gurlui in the 25th minute of play. George Cercelescu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Måns Kjellman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maxim Nae read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC ANC's Flavio Migliorati got a free kick in the 36th minute. Martin Tudor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mugurel Burdulea in the 37th minute of play. Måns Kjellman came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maxim Nae could save by the left post. Måns Kjellman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of FC ANC booed when Avantul Hirlau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavril Şoltuz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Måns Kjellman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. George Stoicu was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Avantul Hirlau's Nistor Gurlui got a free kick in the 71st minute. Martin Tudor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Burdulea in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 75th minute of the match Avantul Hirlau got a corner. FC ANC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gavril Şoltuz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to FC ANC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Manole Bordeanu hit a great ball. Avantul Hirlau's Maxim Nae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Quiroga in the 80th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Avantul Hirlau's Nistor Gurlui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Tudor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Avantul Hirlau's goal looked a bit too open when Manole Bordeanu came free, but Maxim Nae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Måns Kjellman came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the FC ANC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Måns Kjellman couldn't finish the play. Martin Tudor made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when George Stoicu sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Måns Kjellman in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxim Nae saved Avantul Hirlau from getting behind. In the 90th minute George Stoicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Tudor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Stoicu took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Martin Tudor. Martin Tudor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Avantul Hirlau's goalkeeper Maxim Nae, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
