Damian Cârlan kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting a goal against them. FC Acatar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Lv Yu in the 4th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Cătălin Hăulică got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 5 minutes into the match. Cătălin Hăulică might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vlad Covrig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cătălin Hăulică ran back to his position shaking his head. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lv Yu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 11th minute Dumitru Mititelu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diamantino Lobo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andrei Alexandrescus short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Vlad Covrig to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Andrei Alexandrescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, FC Acatar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lv Yu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 29 minutes, Cristi Borza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristi Borza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the game, Claudiu Fecioru recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vlad Covrig. Claudiu Fecioru showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 36 minutes of play, FC Acatar's Andrei Alexandrescu made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vlad Covrig was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andrei Alexandrescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Covrig having to interfere. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd match minute, FC Acatar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ignacy Konopka to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrei Alexandrescu got free with Vlad Covrig in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrei Alexandrescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Covrig having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niculae Podgoreanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When FC Acatar's Niculae Podgoreanu in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalie prevented a goal. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niculae Podgoreanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Niculae Podgoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the game, FC Acatar's Niculae Podgoreanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vlad Covrig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. If Niculae Podgoreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niculae Podgoreanu in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vlad Covrig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Niculae Podgoreanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vlad Covrig was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. The throw-in from Costin Popic in the 76th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Acatar's Lv Yu. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Fecioru in the 78th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Niculae Podgoreanu in the 85th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Damian Cârlan hit a great ball. Niculae Podgoreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vlad Covrig having to interfere. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Podgoreanu in the 91st minute of play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalie and right to Ignacy Konopka. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.
