In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind -BZF- Barca de Buzau's goalkeeper Big Saver, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diego Armando Maradona in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Big Saver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Diego Armando Maradona came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the C Ａ R D I N Ａ L fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diego Armando Maradona couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
