C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Ingvar Hellkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save C Ａ R D I N Ａ L from getting a goal against them. Panait Ponor kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Ingvar Hellkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yenal Tanır, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Hellkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yenal Tanır, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. If Angelo Rage had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Ingvar Hellkvist got control of the ball when Alex Acatincăi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Armando Maradona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's zone, Ferdinand Honcioiu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ingvar Hellkvist came out of the goal and Ferdinand Honcioiu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
