Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Calistrat Madgearu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Romeo Gherghescu went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Dorin Banu heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicodim Orășan in the 32nd minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Flavius Ferenț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiberiu Caramarin in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavius Ferenț prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sebastian Toacsen was the one to do the kick off. MIT's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
