SuperDepor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Răzvan Anghel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Augustin Bălăiță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustinian Comăneci in the 20th minute of the match. If Ion Donciu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SuperDepor's Radu Tarchilă got control of the ball when Ion Donciu tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Călin Bolborici in the 24th minute of play forced Gzpn Timisoara's goalkeeper Augustin Bălăiță to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The SuperDepor fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when SuperDepor's Răzvan Anghel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 31 minutes into the match, SuperDepor's Răzvan Anghel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augustin Bălăiță narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SuperDepor's Radu Tarchilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Tatomir in the 34th minute of play. Augustin Bălăiță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Bolborici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Iustinian Ciorobîtcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Călin Bolborici recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Gzpn Timisoara getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Dan Scutaru hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute Călin Bolborici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augustin Bălăiță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Muc Ciaccia during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Muc Ciaccia hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Călin Bolborici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Augustin Bălăiță made a huge save. Răzvan Anghel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When SuperDepor's Iustinian Comăneci in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gzpn Timisoara's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Răzvan Anghel in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augustin Bălăiță saved Gzpn Timisoara from getting behind. 62 minutes into the match, Iustinian Comăneci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augustin Bălăiță. Gzpn Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iustinian Comăneci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Radu Tarchilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Scutaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augustin Bălăiță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustinian Comăneci in the 72nd minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, SuperDepor's Iustinian Comăneci nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augustin Bălăiță made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Călin Bolborici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Augustin Bălăiță made a huge save. In the 77th minute, Dan Scutaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes Gzpn Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Dan Scutaru. With a little luck, Gzpn Timisoara's Augustin Bălăiță got control of the ball when Lóránt Benczur tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Gzpn Timisoara supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SuperDepor's performance. The match ended with a win for SuperDepor.
