Christof Deroek had in the 79thth minute some difficulties stopping 李卫竞's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Christof Deroek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Conincx in the 83rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Selebi-Phikwe defense, Denis Conincx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christof Deroek. The Selebi-Phikwe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christof Deroek should have stopped the shot.
