After having played for 5 minutes, Reinard Hennes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Twelve Ravens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinard Hennes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Twelve Ravens's goalkeeper Roland Vanden Broucke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jacob de Pelsmaeker. A collision led to Royal Antwerp FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Martial Horemans hit a great ball. In the 20th minute of the match Lennart De Coster shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bart-Jan Van De Beeck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Martial Horemans fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Royal Antwerp FC's protests and gave Martial Horemans a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Twelve Ravens booed when Royal Antwerp FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martial Horemans didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Reinard Hennes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute Reinard Hennes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bart-Jan Van De Beeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Tibor Van Bever got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Roland Vanden Broucke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob de Pelsmaeker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the game, Twelve Ravens's Reinard Hennes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Reinard Hennes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bart-Jan Van De Beeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match Twelve Ravens got a corner. Royal Antwerp FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lennart De Coster ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Twelve Ravens's corner Lennart De Coster fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bart-Jan Van De Beeck quite easily take care of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Matt Van Meirhaeghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tom Rits could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Roland Vanden Broucke made a huge save. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinard Hennes in the 46th minute of the match. Roland Vanden Broucke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daan Ooms, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reinard Hennes to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Twelve Ravens getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Royal Antwerp FC's goalkeeper Bart-Jan Van De Beeck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Pietro Turrieta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roland Jaks missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 65 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Roland Vanden Broucke right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Reinard Hennes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Twelve Ravens's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinard Hennes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Twelve Ravens made a substitution. Jamie Figaro replaced Reinard Hennes. 81 minutes into the match, Jamie Figaro notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Royal Antwerp FC's Bart-Jan Van De Beeck. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bart-Jan Van De Beeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamie Figaro, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Jamie Figaro was slow to take the kick. During this time Twelve Ravens's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Twelve Ravens getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Lennart De Coster hit a great ball. Twelve Ravens's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
