Het Koffiehuis's Nicolas Valentini quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Yelle Capelle, made in the 14th minute of the game. Het Koffiehuis's Jiang Kun Liang proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Het Koffiehuis from getting a goal against them. Gabriele Koffidis kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Het Koffiehuis's goal looked a bit too open when Kieth Hacke came free, but Jiang Kun Liang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Het Koffiehuis booed when Ulan Bator Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Pieter Van Cauwenbergh didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Christian Chivu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ball Packert skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Het Koffiehuis's zone, Mattheo Smeulders stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jiang Kun Liang came out of the goal and Mattheo Smeulders tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Oolo in the 30th minute of play forced Ulan Bator Football Club's goalkeeper Ball Packert to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Golo Oolo in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ball Packert saved Ulan Bator Football Club from getting behind. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ulan Bator Football Club's goalkeeper Ball Packert, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ritchie Schepmans kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Ball Packert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Golo Oolo in the 39th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Golo Oolo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Het Koffiehuis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Kieth Hacke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jiang Kun Liang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play.
