With a little luck, FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt got control of the ball when Winarto Songgonau tried to sneak it across the goal line. William Westelinx might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Waut Van Der Meeren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. William Westelinx ran back to his position shaking his head. Waut Van Der Meeren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Westelinx, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Waut Van Der Meeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Westelinx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Ouagadougou National's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Riemer Ax in the 18th minute. In the 23rd minute Anversa Club were awarded a corner. Serhan Mehmet went to the cornerflag to take it. Serhan Mehmet made a great header on Anversa Club's corner, it was just that FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt managed to reach the ball for a save. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ouagadougou National's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Serhan Mehmet was slow to take the kick. During this time Anversa Club's players had a chance to rest. Winarto Songgonau was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Waut Van Der Meeren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from William Westelinx went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, FC Ouagadougou National's Paolo Evis got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, FC Ouagadougou National's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Vornicu came free, but Rene Vereijt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anversa Club were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after FC Ouagadougou National's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Serhan Mehmet took the corner. The corner led Anversa Club's Serhan Mehmet to fire away a dangerous shot which Rene Vereijt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Anversa Club's goalkeeper Waut Van Der Meeren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jesús De la Torre charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesús De la Torre the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Anversa Club got a freekick which was hit by Jesús De la Torre. 42 minutes into the match, William Westelinx had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waut Van Der Meeren. Anversa Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that William Westelinx was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when William Westelinx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rene Vereijt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio García's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. FC Ouagadougou National's William Westelinx got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Winarto Songgonau in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, William Westelinx managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ouagadougou National's supporters rose to their feet, but William Westelinx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waut Van Der Meeren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 67 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goal looked a bit too open when William Westelinx came free, but Waut Van Der Meeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70thth minute of the game William Westelinx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling William Westelinx in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Waut Van Der Meeren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Anversa Club defense, William Westelinx kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Waut Van Der Meeren. The Anversa Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waut Van Der Meeren should have stopped the shot. FC Ouagadougou National's Jedrzej Kiszkiel was substituted for William Westelinx. FC Ouagadougou National's Rene Vereijt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reiner Fallas in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Jedrzej Kiszkiel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Waut Van Der Meeren, 0-4. 90 minutes into the game, Jedrzej Kiszkiel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Waut Van Der Meeren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Jedrzej Kiszkiel made a precise shot to the right of Waut Van Der Meeren. Anversa Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6.
