In the 5th minute Joachim Van Der Meren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Der Meeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Anversa Club's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rolf Huveneers was slow to take the kick. During this time De Keikoppers's players had a chance to rest. The corner led De Keikoppers's Rolf Huveneers to fire away a dangerous shot which Waut Van Der Meeren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Winarto Songgonau hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Rolf Huveneers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When De Keikoppers's Rolf Huveneers in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Waut Van Der Meeren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Van Der Meren, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Nicu Vornicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Van Den Broek having to interfere. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Van Der Meren in the 41st minute of play. After 42 played minutes De Keikoppers got a freekick which was hit by Boris Boegaert. Serhan Mehmet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joachim Van Der Meren in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to De Keikoppers getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Glenn De Smedt hit a great ball. In the 49th minute of the match Serhan Mehmet sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lionel Van Den Broek skillfully saved the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joachim Van Der Meren to make the kick off. Anversa Club's Winarto Songgonau got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jesús De la Torre made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Winarto Songgonau. Reiner Fallas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lionel Van Den Broek having to interfere. De Keikoppers's Frederik Dhondt managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Jesús De la Torre in the 59 minute of the game. Waut Van Der Meeren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Van Der Meren, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Joachim Van Der Meren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goalkeeper Waut Van Der Meeren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sem De Kelper. In the 66th minute Winarto Songgonau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Van Den Broek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lionel Van Den Broek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu in the 68th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Joachim Van Der Meren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The De Keikoppers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Lionel Van Den Broek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio García in the 77th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Claudio García cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Lionel Van Den Broek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Claudio García sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. It was Rolf Huveneers who took care of the corner kick. 88 minutes into the match, De Keikoppers's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Vornicu came free, but Lionel Van Den Broek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Anversa Club from getting a goal against them. A collision led to De Keikoppers getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Joachim Van Der Meren hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Anversa Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while De Keikoppers had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
