If Dmitry Levashik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vriendenkring Wippelgem's Alfred Robin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Clijsters in the 21st minute of play. Vriendenkring Wippelgem's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Paul-Louis Jannes 23 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Vriendenkring Wippelgem's Alfred Robin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddy Laporte in the 26th minute of play. Mattijs Van Der Meeren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Teo De Jonge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfred Robin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Laporte in the 31st minute of play. KFC Vliegplein's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dmitry Levashik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dmitry Levashik stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Vriendenkring Wippelgem getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Mattijs Van Der Meeren hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the game, Endel Darmer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KFC Vliegplein's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vriendenkring Wippelgem the free kick.
