After 6 minutes, Valter Mellin made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Redbull Sala's David Lundgren tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Valter Mellin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Thomas Falkrantz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valter Mellin in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg David Lundgren saved Redbull Sala from getting behind. In the 31st minute Carlos Alberto Bezerra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Lundgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valter Mellin in the 36th minute of the match. Carlos Alberto Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Caspersson having to interfere. Ejvind Haversen might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claes Caspersson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ejvind Haversen ran back to his position shaking his head. Valter Mellin hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

After a rather tough play, Cheetah Team's Dick Forssell got a free kick in the 50th minute. In the 51st minute of the match Jörgen Ström shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claes Caspersson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Aurre Garay in the 56th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Cheetah Team's Tim Askberg. Alex Ahlrot's late challenge caught a Redbull Sala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Ahlrot helped the player get up and apologised. Claes Caspersson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ejvind Haversen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claes Caspersson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ejvind Haversen's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Redbull Sala's zone, Valter Mellin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Lundgren came out of the goal and Valter Mellin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cheetah Team's Dick Forssell, in the 64th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Cheetah Team. Inge Mager kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Ejvind Haversen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Redbull Sala getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Kaodilinakachukwu Elin hit a great ball. David Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valter Mellin in the 74th minute of play. Valter Mellin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claes Caspersson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ejvind Haversen's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. Valter Mellin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cheetah Team booed when Redbull Sala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Ström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute, Fredrik Fors got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cheetah Team had played much better football throughout.
