Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Candido Urbes in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorel Lupșe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Alrot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scofield Vinciguerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurt Brogren in the 12th minute of play forced Besiktas's goalkeeper Dorel Lupșe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorel Lupșe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Brogren in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Nils-Åke Magnusson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellbystrand IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 55 minutes Besiktas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Konrad Nordin who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Mellbystrand IK's Niclas Vesterberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kurt Brogren in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dorel Lupșe saved Besiktas from getting behind. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Kurt Brogren sped through Besiktas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dorel Lupșe. Daniel Alrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Forssberg in the 60th minute of play. Candido Urbes hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Mellbystrand IK made a substitution. Björn Ekström replaced Candido Urbes. After a rather tough play, Mellbystrand IK's Candido Urbes got a free kick in the 67th minute. Magnus Kihlman hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Dorel Lupșe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niclas Vesterberg in the 73rd minute. Kurt Brogren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Dorel Lupșe made a huge save. Daniel Alrot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Scofield Vinciguerra's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute Besiktas were awarded a corner. Magnus Kihlman went to the cornerflag to take it. Besiktas's Magnus Kihlman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniel Alrot in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, Besiktas's Dorel Lupșe got control of the ball when Björn Ekström tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Besiktas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mellbystrand IK were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
