Su Premetis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qiao Nan Wen, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo's zone, Ralf Sundin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Hjortberg came out of the goal and Ralf Sundin tried to chip the ball over his head. The audience was convinced that Ralf Sundin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hjortberg was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kasper Bivall got free with Su Premetis in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Fusk&Bygg AB booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tord Stolpe didn't get a good kick on the ball.
