The Quetzal Flyers Hammers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francesco Marines should have stopped the shot. Arne Kilström was a little too slow when Sonny Perkins got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 21st minute. The score was now 3-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sonny Perkins got free with Arne Kilström in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute, Sonny Perkins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arne Kilström was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. After some careless play in the AIK FOTBOLL defense, Sonny Perkins kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arne Kilström. The AIK FOTBOLL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arne Kilström should have stopped the shot. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Sonny Perkins sped through AIK FOTBOLL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arne Kilström. Tony Cote's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arne Kilström firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evert Dahlqvist to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stig-Arne Skålberg got free with Francesco Marines in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AIK FOTBOLL made a substitution. Fredrik Axelsson replaced Elof Hedin. AIK FOTBOLL's Robert Hermansson was substituted for Evert Dahlqvist. Leonard Käller made in the 71st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Moncho Almonte immediately put the ball in play. When AIK FOTBOLL's Fredrik Axelsson in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Sonny Perkins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sonny Perkins in the 83rd minute of play forced AIK FOTBOLL's goalkeeper Arne Kilström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arne Kilström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sonny Perkins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olov Deckberg during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olov Deckberg kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Quetzal Flyers Hammers fully deserved thier win.
