In the 10th minute Zhao Yao Ying shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evert Linberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Yao Ying in the 30th minute of play forced Zlatan sucks's goalkeeper Evert Linberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Oldham Athletic's zone, Fritz Berghmans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guo Han Di came out of the goal and Fritz Berghmans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Zlatan sucks booed when Oldham Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Zlatan sucks's goal looked a bit too open when Zhao Yao Ying came free, but Evert Linberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute of the match, Roy Pihl got a very nice opportunity to score, but Guo Han Di was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 40th minute, Zhao Yao Ying left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oldham Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 43 minutes into the game, Ziggy Zaga cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Guo Han Di was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roy Pihl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Guo Han Di made a huge save. Henric Ribas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guo Han Di having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fritz Berghmans to strike the kick off in the second half. Guo Han Di stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fritz Berghmans's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. The audience was convinced that Fritz Berghmans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guo Han Di was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Evert Linberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian-Federico Dolić, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Roy Pihl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guo Han Di having to make a save. A collision led to Zlatan sucks getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Ziggy Zaga hit a great ball. Oldham Athletic's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Zlatan sucks had won, even though Oldham Athletic had held more of the ball.
