Spectators: 155 (Terracing: 117, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) FK Crvena Zvezda's Claes Bratt started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Håkan Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brothers of Mercy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Håkan Lindgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Ingvar Vennerlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Crvena Zvezda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brothers of Mercy the free kick. After a rather tough play, FK Crvena Zvezda's Ingvar Vennerlund got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 8 played minutes, Brothers of Mercy's Di Yi Yuan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gunnar Jakobsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brothers of Mercy reached it. The audience was convinced that Håkan Lindgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunnar Jakobsson was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. In the 12th minute, Christer Valler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Håkan Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th match minute, FK Crvena Zvezda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folke Odeen to maneuver through the defense. FK Crvena Zvezda's Gunnar Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Lindgren in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's Håkan Lindgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunnar Jakobsson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by FK Crvena Zvezda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Di Yi Yuan was slow to take the kick. During this time Brothers of Mercy's players had a chance to rest. After 27 played minutes FK Crvena Zvezda got a freekick which was hit by Elof Alströmer. Håkan Lindgren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gunnar Jakobsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Brothers of Mercy were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after FK Crvena Zvezda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Di Yi Yuan took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FK Crvena Zvezda's goalie and right to Gabriel Saliba. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FK Crvena Zvezda's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 38th minute, Håkan Lindgren fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Håkan Lindgren might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gunnar Jakobsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Håkan Lindgren ran back to his position shaking his head. When Brothers of Mercy's Håkan Lindgren in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FK Crvena Zvezda's goalie prevented a goal. A throw-in in the 40th minute of the game was made by Elof Alströmer with Andreas Giöck as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 42nd minute, Håkan Lindgren ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunnar Jakobsson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Håkan Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Jakobsson having to interfere. The supporters of FK Crvena Zvezda booed when Brothers of Mercy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Hjortsberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Håkan Lindgren made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Håkan Lindgren in the 57th minute of play forced FK Crvena Zvezda's goalkeeper Gunnar Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes into the match, FK Crvena Zvezda's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Lindgren came free, but Gunnar Jakobsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gunnar Jakobsson came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Brothers of Mercy's Håkan Lindgren. But to his dismay, Håkan Lindgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Håkan Lindgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 75 minutes of play, Brothers of Mercy's Håkan Lindgren made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gunnar Jakobsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Håkan Lindgren in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gunnar Jakobsson saved FK Crvena Zvezda from getting behind. 80 minutes into the match, Håkan Lindgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gunnar Jakobsson. FK Crvena Zvezda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Håkan Lindgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After 83 minutes of play, Brothers of Mercy's Håkan Lindgren made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gunnar Jakobsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gunnar Jakobsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Valler in the 86th minute of the match. Håkan Lindgren scored 7-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gunnar Jakobsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 92 minutes into the match, Håkan Lindgren notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of FK Crvena Zvezda's Gunnar Jakobsson. Gunnar Jakobsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Brothers of Mercy fully deserved thier win.
