Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Pål Strömberg made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the match, KD Stiger's goal looked a bit too open when Chen Ao Fan came free, but Benjamin Blixt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Keegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the KD Stiger defense, Kevin Keegan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Blixt. The KD Stiger fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Blixt should have stopped the shot. 11 minutes into the match, Skövde AIK's Chen Ao Fan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benjamin Blixt narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benjamin Blixt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kevin Keegan in the 12th minute of the match. KD Stiger's Benjamin Blixt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Keegan in the 14th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vilgot Sandberg during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 15th match minute, KD Stiger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilgot Sandberg to maneuver through the defense. When Chen Ao Fan came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Skövde AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chen Ao Fan couldn't finish the play. Kevin Keegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. KD Stiger's Vilgot Sandberg got his second yellow card of the match in the 28th minute. The referee ordered Vilgot Sandberg off the ground. In the 28th minute, Vilgot Sandberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, KD Stiger's Georg Danielsson got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Georg Danielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Benjamin Blixt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chen Ao Fan in the 36th minute of play. Chen Ao Fan might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Blixt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chen Ao Fan ran back to his position shaking his head. 38 minutes into the match, KD Stiger's goal looked a bit too open when Chen Ao Fan came free, but Benjamin Blixt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to KD Stiger getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Robert Salqvist hit a great ball. Chen Ao Fan might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Benjamin Blixt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chen Ao Fan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th match minute, KD Stiger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Skövde AIK's Kevin Keegan got a free kick in the 45th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hjalmar Hägert during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hjalmar Hägert kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Skövde AIK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chen Ao Fan made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chen Ao Fan got free with Benjamin Blixt in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Benjamin Blixt successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Benjamin Blixt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chen Ao Fan went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 62nd match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerry Williams to maneuver through the defense. Björn Engström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olov Wahlnäs having to interfere. Benjamin Blixt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kevin Keegan in the 74th minute of play. When Pål Strömberg came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the KD Stiger fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pål Strömberg couldn't finish the play. If Kevin Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Skövde AIK getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Kevin Keegan hit a great ball. Benjamin Blixt made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Chen Ao Fan sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd play minute Chen Ao Fan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benjamin Blixt. 1-4. The Skövde AIK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Skövde AIK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
