When Sandu Musteatã came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Aro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandu Musteatã couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sune Svartengren got free with Holer Nolan in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Holer Nolan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sune Svartengren in the 39th minute. In the 43rd minute, Emanuel Benat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 45th minute Rikard Klint shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Big Dickey to make the kick off. Holer Nolan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sune Svartengren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Hawk Tuah FC booed when Aro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Arne Berglund didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Karl-Åke Söderquist sped through Aro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Harry Higuita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sune Svartengren in the 88th minute of play forced Hawk Tuah FC's goalkeeper Holer Nolan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Holer Nolan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Toivonen in the 90th minute of the match. 92 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hawk Tuah FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Errikos Tsagaris was slow to take the kick. During this time Aro FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Aro FC's Errikos Tsagaris to fire away a dangerous shot which Holer Nolan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Dahlman during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Aro FC booed when Hawk Tuah FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Dahlman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96thth minute of the game Sune Svartengren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hawk Tuah FC's Holer Nolan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
