Football Club Kekke's Mai Namer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Football Club Kekke from getting a goal against them. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Michael Näver was slow to take the kick. During this time Protegéerna's players had a chance to rest. When Jarl Dalgren fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Football Club Kekke's protests and gave Jarl Dalgren a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Football Club Kekke getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Jarl Dalgren hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Robin Martinsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bolo Skjold was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 55th minute, Bo Låsberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Football Club Kekke's Svante Bokelund was substituted for Robin Martinsson. Konstantinos Skaboulis kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Florens á Neystabø's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bolo Skjold read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Bengt-Arne Thedin in the 73rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Protegéerna's Andres Lander. In the 76th match minute, Protegéerna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Låsberg to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Football Club Kekke players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Protegéerna.
