Edgar Poe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peanut Lord in the 5th minute of play. In the 6th minute of the match Slipmaskinerna got a corner. Royal Excel Mouscron's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antonin Laruelle ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 8th minute Antonin Laruelle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Poe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Slipmaskinerna's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Kindermans came free, but Billy Ek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Kindermans in the 9th minute of play forced Slipmaskinerna's goalkeeper Billy Ek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Billy Ek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Kunze, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Peanut Lord cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Edgar Poe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Augusto Fantini got free with Billy Ek in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Styrbjörn Nilsson scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edgar Poe, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peanut Lord blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Poe having to make a save. Edgar Poe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peanut Lord, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Billy Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Kunze in the 28th minute of play. Royal Excel Mouscron's Dennis Hermansson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jordi Alba, made in the 29th minute of the game. Royal Excel Mouscron's Edgar Poe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peanut Lord in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Styrbjörn Nilsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Poe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. With an all-out effort, Royal Excel Mouscron's Billy Ek threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Georg Wiberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Peanut Lord blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Poe having to make a save. Edgar Poe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peanut Lord, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Styrbjörn Nilsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edgar Poe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The Royal Excel Mouscron players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Slipmaskinerna were winning 0-5.

The wind increased when João Augusto Fantini made the kick off in the second half. Edgar Poe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonin Laruelle, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Billy Ek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Kunze in the 60th minute of the match. Edgar Poe made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Peanut Lord sent off a good shot on target. 72 minutes into the match, Royal Excel Mouscron's goal looked a bit too open when Styrbjörn Nilsson came free, but Edgar Poe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Slipmaskinerna's Gustav Larsfelt was substituted for Jordi Alba. Antonin Laruelle made a great header on Slipmaskinerna's corner, it was just that Royal Excel Mouscron's Edgar Poe managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Slipmaskinerna getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Antonin Laruelle hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Melker Lundblad sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Slipmaskinerna's Billy Ek didn't even have to move.
