When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gösta Granberg sped through Malmö White Knights's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Petter Fransson. Martin Hedlund hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Petter Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Granberg in the 17th minute of the match. Petter Fransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Granberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Malmö White Knights getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Algot Isaksson hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Marouane Kiefer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petter Fransson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 27th minute, Algot Isaksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rutger Delin during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of VfL Wolfsburg booed when Malmö White Knights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Delin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hannes Ström came free with the goalkeeper in the 34th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Petter Fransson could save by the left post. In the 39th minute, Gösta Granberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Petter Fransson was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. After 45 played minutes VfL Wolfsburg got a freekick which was hit by Gösta Granberg. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gösta Granberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Malmö White Knights's zone, Gösta Granberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petter Fransson came out of the goal and Gösta Granberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 68 minutes into the match, Hannes Ström notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Malmö White Knights's Petter Fransson. Petter Fransson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hannes Ström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Söderman kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Hannes Ström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VfL Wolfsburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hannes Ström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Petter Fransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marouane Kiefer in the 83rd minute of play. Gösta Granberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Petter Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Malmö White Knights got a freekick which was hit by Robert Söderman. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. VfL Wolfsburg fully deserved thier win.
