Rio Newton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moodys IF's Azam Sum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennart Bäckström in the 7th minute of play. Helge Hedström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Tidén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Malmberg hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute Johannes Tidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helge Hedström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moodys IF were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Project X's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kjell-Arne Åberg took the corner. Brian May made a great header on Moodys IF's corner, it was just that Project X's Helge Hedström managed to reach the ball for a save. With his leg Helge Hedström managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Moodys IF's Brian May fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Azam Sum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Knopek, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Project X's Helge Hedström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Project X from getting a goal against them. Helge Hedström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brian May in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Ingvar Malmberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Project X's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moodys IF the free kick. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Moodys IF's Brian May in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. It was a penalty for Moodys IF! Azam Sum went to the wrong direction when Jerzy Piechna was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal.
