Peter Nilsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nils-Åke Gunnarsson went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Herbert Kristiansson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Filiph Hägg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigvard Hellsing in the 28th minute of the match. Hedemora's Peter Nilsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Åke Gunnarsson in the 29th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Nils-Åke Gunnarsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Nilsson was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Hedemora's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Dalkvist came free, but Peter Nilsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Nilsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Forsberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Aston Villa FC were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nils-Åke Gunnarsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Peter Nilsson was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Merrill Pryor capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Merrill Pryor really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tim Lund got free with Peter Nilsson in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 61 minutes in the game, Tim Lund dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Sigvard Hellsing charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sigvard Hellsing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sigvard Hellsing hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Hedemora's Peter Nilsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Hedemora from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Aston Villa FC booed when Hedemora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigvard Hellsing didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aston Villa FC's Filiph Hägg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leif Granqvist in the 73rd minute of play. Peter Nilsson came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Aston Villa FC's Tim Lund. But to his dismay, Tim Lund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. After 78 minutes of play, Aston Villa FC's Merrill Pryor made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Nilsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute of the match, Jonas Forsberg tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Peter Nilsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 85 minutes into the match, Jörgen Dalkvist dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Peter Nilsson, 0-10. In the 88th minute, Aston Villa FC's Nils-Åke Gunnarsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-11. Nils-Åke Gunnarsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Peter Nilsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Roger Winström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Nilsson having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Tim Lund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Peter Nilsson. Hedemora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tim Lund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-12. When the match was over Aston Villa FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Hedemora throughout the match.
