The Green Fairies were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Köping's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Leonardo Lindholm took the corner. The corner ended in Leonardo Lindholm almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Köping's Jens Bohlin did a great save. In the 13th minute, Adrian Brander ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harald Fridlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 15th match minute, The Green Fairies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Răuțchi to maneuver through the defense. Eddie Viklund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harald Fridlund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Eddie Viklund's late challenge caught a The Green Fairies's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eddie Viklund helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of The Green Fairies booed when Köping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddie Viklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens Bohlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Mossberg in the 23rd minute of play. If Elliott Bredberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrice Coker hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Per-Erik Juhlin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Jens Bohlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Folke Skoglund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jens Bohlin having to make a save. In the 38th minute Elliott Bredberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harald Fridlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Vincent Mossberg notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Köping's Jens Bohlin. Jens Bohlin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Per-Erik Juhlin scored 2-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens Bohlin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alex Lidström to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrice Coker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens Bohlin having to interfere. Vincent Mossbergs short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Jens Bohlin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jens Bohlin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vincent Mossberg in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, The Green Fairies's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Lidström came free, but Harald Fridlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute, Alex Lidström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Harald Fridlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Köping's goalkeeper Jens Bohlin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Köping's Jens Bohlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrice Coker in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Köping's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Erik Juhlin came free, but Jens Bohlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Köping's Jens Bohlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Skoglund in the 84th minute of play. Harald Fridlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Lidström, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 93rd minute, Doru Răuțchi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Köping fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Green Fairies had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
