Horia Tătaru scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vito Furlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 22 played minutes Höglunda IK got a freekick which was hit by Stig Hasselqvist. Sivert Holmgren was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Höglunda IK from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd minute Horia Tătaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vito Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Pihlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Olof Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the last second Vito Furlan throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ashley Cole in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Vianna got free with Vito Furlan in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vito Furlan was a little too slow when Horia Tătaru got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-2. 64 minutes into the match, Höglunda IK's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Tătaru came free, but Vito Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horia Tătaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan got control of the ball when Michael Stor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71st match minute, Höglunda IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sture Lägdin to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Preator Edikt's Michael Stor dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Vito Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Alrot in the 88th minute of the match. Vito Furlan came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Preator Edikt's Michael Stor. But to his dismay, Michael Stor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The Preator Edikt fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Preator Edikt's Michael Stor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Preator Edikt eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
