Erik Grøneng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Edvin Blixt in the 8th minute of the match. Erik Grøneng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Stig-Arne Stenman took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik Grøneng. Erik Grøneng dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Adam Bergdal managed to get in a good position for a shot. I Rossoneri's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Bergdal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erik Grøneng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 36 played minutes Gunnah FC got a freekick which was hit by Ove Anselius. 37 minutes into the game, Adam Bergdal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Erik Grøneng was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eric Löfkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Edvin Blixt to make the kick off. Ove Anselius hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Arkadiusz Wejta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The I Rossoneri fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when I Rossoneri's Sven-Edvin Blixt looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With an all-out effort, I Rossoneri's Erik Grøneng threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Kjell Hallgren, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Agne Andberg's late challenge caught a I Rossoneri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agne Andberg helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Gunnah FC's Agne Andberg got a free kick in the 60th minute. The supporters of I Rossoneri booed when Gunnah FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egil Jansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. When I Rossoneri's Sven-Edvin Blixt in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Gunnah FC's Erik Grøneng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Gunnah FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Gunnah FC's zone, Stig-Arne Stenman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Grøneng came out of the goal and Stig-Arne Stenman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, Linus Skoglund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Gunnah FC's Erik Grøneng got control of the ball when Josef Smitt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as I Rossoneri's Stig-Arne Stenman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Erik Grøneng. That made the score 0-6 after 85 minutes of play. 89 minutes into the match, Gunnah FC's goal looked a bit too open when Linus Skoglund came free, but Erik Grøneng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Arne Stenman in the 91st minute of play forced Gunnah FC's goalkeeper Erik Grøneng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Edvin Blixt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Erik Grøneng made a huge save. With his leg Erik Grøneng managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when I Rossoneri's Adam Bergdal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
