The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Szimbas Lejonflock's Anton Beck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Skarkman in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Szimbas Lejonflock's goal looked a bit too open when Uzay Gencalp came free, but Anton Beck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anton Beck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Uzay Gencalp's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes Szimbas Lejonflock's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kevin Skarkman who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Kevin Skarkman almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Szimbas Lejonflock's Anton Beck did a great save. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Simon Askelöf took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Börje Albohm to make any attempt to save it. In the 25th minute Kevin Skarkman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Beck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Askelöf got free with Börje Albohm in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Börje Albohm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simon Askelöf in the 29th minute of the match. Anton Beck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kevin Skarkman, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Anton Beck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uzay Gencalp in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of Baxters Boys booed when Szimbas Lejonflock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Blom didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Szimbas Lejonflock's Isac Blom got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Caetano Mourinho's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Börje Albohm skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uzay Gencalp in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Beck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grigore Roşca hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Baxters Boys's Kevin Skarkman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When Per Strömqvist came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Baxters Boys fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Strömqvist couldn't finish the play. Börje Albohm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isac Blom, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Caetano Mourinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baxters Boys made a substitution. Olov Tham replaced Uzay Gencalp. Simon Askelöf struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Börje Albohm didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szimbas Lejonflock. Szimbas Lejonflock made a substitution. Edgar Andersson replaced Simon Askelöf. Edgar Andersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Börje Albohm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Szimbas Lejonflock made a substitution. Sven Morat replaced Isac Blom. After some careless play in the Baxters Boys defense, Edgar Andersson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Börje Albohm. The Baxters Boys fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Börje Albohm should have stopped the shot. If Sven Morat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
