Roger Fagrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norberto Loureiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 9 minutes of play, Arye Suryoye's Ola Rydberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Fagrell was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kenneth Käcker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Décio Rola in the 13th minute. Björn Lindmark hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Ola Rydberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Fagrell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ola Rydberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Roger Fagrell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ola Rydberg in the 16th minute of the match. If Ola Rydberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute Ola Rydberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ola Rydberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Ola Rydberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roger Fagrell was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After 25 played minutes Arye Suryoye got a freekick which was hit by Otto Hjälm. If Ola Rydberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Arye Suryoye's Kenneth Käcker got control of the ball when Décio Rola tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arye Suryoye's attentive Otto Hjälm managed to snatch the ball when Robert Andersson made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. An unexpected shot in the 44th minute by Décio Rola got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 46th minute, Robert Andersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Sjötorp IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arye Suryoye were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ola Rydberg was the one to do the kick off. Sjötorp IF's Roger Fagrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norberto Loureiro in the 51st minute of play. In the 61st minute, Otto Hjälm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Ola Rydberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sjötorp IF made a substitution. Andreas Alm replaced Doni Muli. After a rather tough play, Arye Suryoye's Otto Hjälm got a free kick in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Arye Suryoye's goal looked a bit too open when Décio Rola came free, but Kenneth Käcker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Norberto Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arye Suryoye's supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Loureiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roger Fagrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roger Fagrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norberto Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Ola Rydberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roger Fagrell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ola Rydberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Kenneth Käcker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gunnar Ahlerot in the 90th minute of play. If Gunnar Ahlerot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Alm in the 93rd minute of play forced Arye Suryoye's goalkeeper Kenneth Käcker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Arye Suryoye eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
