Melchester Rovers were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Rinkeby FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hans Svensson took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Mårten Abrahamsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Corderun Geras quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Corderun Geras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Meck, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Hugon Wierzcholek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronny Westerberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Rinkeby FC's Corderun Geras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Vikström in the 16th minute of play. Corderun Geras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mikael Meck, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute Mårten Abrahamsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corderun Geras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Melchester Rovers defense, Hugon Wierzcholek kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ronny Westerberg. The Melchester Rovers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ronny Westerberg should have stopped the shot. Stig Vikström kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Corderun Geras made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugon Wierzcholek stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Guerrero to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Jörgen Byström got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 59th minute, Rinkeby FC's Bengt-Arne Fors dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Rinkeby FC's Corderun Geras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig Vikström in the 67th minute of play. After 74 played minutes Rinkeby FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugon Wierzcholek. Ronny Westerberg made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Hugon Wierzcholek sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute Stig Vikström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Corderun Geras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
