Anthon Karlsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radamel Oakley, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Radamel Oakley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Anthon Karlsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Radamel Oakley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's goal looked a bit too open when Radamel Oakley came free, but Anthon Karlsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Galapagos Islands FC defense, Radamel Oakley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anthon Karlsson. The Galapagos Islands FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anthon Karlsson should have stopped the shot. In the 35thth minute of the game Radamel Oakley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galapagos Islands FC's Anthon Karlsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Surahammar's Cristiano Osman quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gösta Lönn, made in the 43rd minute of the game. After 45 minutes, Aleksander Winszman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galapagos Islands FC and the Surahammar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Galapagos Islands FC's Markus Åström was substituted for Niklas Möller. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Radamel Oakley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Gösta Lönn in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Surahammar's Cristiano Osman. Anthon Karlsson made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Radamel Oakley sent off a good shot on target. Surahammar's Folke Skröder was substituted for Vincent Benett. Surahammar's Victor Santxol was substituted for Radamel Oakley. Jan Lindström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Özgün Hatip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özgün Hatip in the 86th minute of play forced Surahammar's goalkeeper Jan Lindström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Gösta Lönn in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Surahammar's Cristiano Osman. Victor Santxol who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 96thth minute tested the skills of Anthon Karlsson when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Surahammar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
