Ellis Schenck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Julien Staffelbach went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A sloppy throw-in by Tavo Tomat in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Zlatan BK's Per Hägglund. In the 12th minute Zlatan BK were awarded a corner. Per Hägglund went to the cornerflag to take it. Ellis Schenck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julien Staffelbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes, Ubaldo Padro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Linköpings AIK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Per Hägglund was slow to take the kick. During this time Zlatan BK's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Zlatan BK's Halit Koralp getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jimmy Olsson made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Halit Koralp sent off a good shot on target. Ellis Schenck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joakim Mikaelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ubaldo Padro in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimmy Olsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Padro dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jimmy Olsson, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danell Mackiathan in the 41st minute of play forced Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Jimmy Olsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy Olsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Danell Mackiathan's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson got control of the ball when Ubaldo Padro tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julien Staffelbach was the one to do the kick off. Zlatan BK's Albert Linberg was substituted for Cesare Maestri. Zlatan BK's Tobias Tomasson was substituted for Mariusz Kloczko. Zlatan BK's Albert Linberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stefan Blomqvist in the 60 minute of the game. Jimmy Olsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Oskar Kinnman, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The audience was convinced that Ubaldo Padro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmy Olsson was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 70th minute, Nils Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julien Staffelbach scored 2-2 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ellis Schenck, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84thth minute of the game Ubaldo Padro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköpings AIK's Jimmy Olsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ellis Schenck made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Julien Staffelbach sent off a good shot on target. After 88 played minutes Zlatan BK got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Oskar Kinnman. Folke Abrahamsson's late challenge caught a Zlatan BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Folke Abrahamsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes Linköpings AIK got a freekick which was hit by Folke Abrahamsson. The Zlatan BK fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Zlatan BK's Ubaldo Padro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Linköpings AIK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
