In the 40th minute of the match Leonard Bronicki shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but George Kristiansson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. John Bergström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sten Melberg's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sten Melberg to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Sten Melberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of John Bergström, 0-3.
