Vilgot Tidéksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klas Axelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Osvaldo Ermano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Girkantas Bernotas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 14th match minute, Cosmopolitan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olof Sandberg to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Zendraget BK's Oscar Malmgren tried to score from far away in the 15th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Zendraget BK's Bertil Apelquist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vilgot Tidéksson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Girkantas Bernotas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Zendraget BK's Girkantas Bernotas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Ermano in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zendraget BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nils-Erik Gustavsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Cosmopolitan FC's players had a chance to rest. Cosmopolitan FC's Nils-Erik Gustavsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Girkantas Bernotas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Vilgot Tidéksson made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Oscar Malmgren sent off a good shot on target. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Klas Axelsson to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klas Axelsson in the 51st minute of play forced Cosmopolitan FC's goalkeeper Vilgot Tidéksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Cosmopolitan FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Osvaldo Ermano hit a great ball. Vilgot Tidéksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel Fransson went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Vilgot Tidéksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Fransson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Cosmopolitan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Eriksson came free, but Vilgot Tidéksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zendraget BK's Girkantas Bernotas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Zendraget BK from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute Samuel Fransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilgot Tidéksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egil Eriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Cosmopolitan FC made a substitution. Evert Pihlgren replaced Osvaldo Ermano. After 84 played minutes Zendraget BK got a freekick which was hit by Egil Eriksson. Morgan Boman made in the 86th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Klas Axelsson. Girkantas Bernotas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evert Pihlgren in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute, Cosmopolitan FC's Evert Pihlgren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Girkantas Bernotas. Girkantas Bernotas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The Cosmopolitan FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cosmopolitan FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
