Spectators: 169 (Terracing: 127, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Don Malbec made the kick off which started today's match. If Don Malbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Don Malbec came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Charlotte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Malbec couldn't finish the play. Don Malbec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Lonnie Hurley made a huge save. In the 14th minute, Don Malbec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaques Van Mellaert didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Jaques Van Mellaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charlotte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaques Van Mellaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lonnie Hurley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Don Malbec went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Don Malbec in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lonnie Hurley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Kaja Jamak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley did a great save. Lonnie Hurley came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Charlotte FC's Don Malbec. But to his dismay, Don Malbec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 33rd minute of the match Key Biscayne FC got a corner. Charlotte FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. George Costanza ran over to the corner to take the kick. Don Malbecs short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Lonnie Hurley to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Key Biscayne FC's goalkeeper Lonnie Hurley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Don Malbec didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 3-0 via right post in the game's 41st minute. Charlotte FC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! After 46 minutes, Jaques Van Mellaert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charlotte FC and the Key Biscayne FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Georges Collard made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Key Biscayne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Hitz came free, but Lonnie Hurley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 minutes Key Biscayne FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kaja Jamak who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Charlotte FC's Kaja Jamak to fire away a dangerous shot which Lonnie Hurley despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Charlotte FC's Bogdan Matela managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Mohammed Sprague in the 56 minute of the game. Don Malbec blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lonnie Hurley having to make a save. Bryant Miles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dustin Burton in the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Don Malbec managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Charlotte FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Malbec was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 64 minutes, Georges Collard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Key Biscayne FC and the Charlotte FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Georges Collard kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Lonnie Hurley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Malbec in the 65th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dustin Burton in the 67th minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Bryant Miles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Don Malbec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lonnie Hurley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Charlotte FC from getting a goal against them. Don Malbec's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lonnie Hurley read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Lonnie Hurley came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Charlotte FC's Don Malbec. But to his dismay, Don Malbec quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The supporters of Charlotte FC booed when Key Biscayne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohammed Sprague didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charlotte FC made a substitution. Vicente Rafferty replaced Don Malbec. Charlotte FC made a substitution. Wander Suzanne replaced Braulio Hitz. After 79 played minutes Key Biscayne FC got a freekick which was hit by Mohammed Sprague. Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Rafferty in the 84th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Vicente Rafferty had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lonnie Hurley. Key Biscayne FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vicente Rafferty was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Vicente Rafferty took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lonnie Hurley. Lonnie Hurley dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Lonnie Hurley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Rafferty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 95 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Korey Reed came free, but Bryant Miles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bryant Miles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korey Reed, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. There was no doubt that Charlotte FC were the better team. Charlotte FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
