In the 16th minute Dep. Moron were awarded a corner. Bob Hart went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Dep. Moron's corner Bob Hart fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wilbur Hyde quite easily take care of the ball. El Canalla de Chicago's Wilbur Hyde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacho Hernández in the 17th minute of play. Wilbur Hyde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nacho Hernández, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Wilbur Hyde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bob Hart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, El Canalla de Chicago's goal looked a bit too open when Nacho Hernández came free, but Wilbur Hyde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute of the match Dep. Moron got a corner. El Canalla de Chicago's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bob Hart ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 38th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Combs to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the match, Josepe Zabalo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilbur Hyde, 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Josepe Zabalo could shoot a difficult shot in the 45th minute, which Wilbur Hyde however easily saved by the left post. When Claude Mueller fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored El Canalla de Chicago's protests and gave Claude Mueller a yellow card for diving instead. Wilbur Hyde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nacho Hernández's shot from short distance in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Joaquim Vilar made the kick off in the second half. If Josepe Zabalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. El Canalla de Chicago's Claude Mueller got his second yellow card of the match in the 55th minute. The referee ordered Claude Mueller off the ground. In the 85th minute, Nacho Hernández ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilbur Hyde was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When Leif Myr came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Dep. Moron fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leif Myr couldn't finish the play. Dep. Moron's Diego Arden got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilbur Hyde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacho Hernández, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Combs. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dep. Moron had played much better football throughout.
